Terms and Conditions of Cartage

These terms apply to all Recargo quotes and freight forwarding services.

  1. Recargo acts as a freight forwarder and arranges carriage and related services through third-party service providers.
  2. All transport and related services are subject to the third-party provider's terms, conditions, and liability limits (including carrier tariffs, sea waybills, air waybills, and any mandatory international conventions).
  3. Liability for cartage, transit loss, delay, or damage sits with the relevant service provider to the extent permitted by law and under that provider's terms.
  4. Recargo is not a carrier and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, production, market, or goodwill.
  5. The customer must provide complete and accurate shipment details. Any difference between quoted and actual cargo details, dates, routes, or services may result in repricing and additional charges.
  6. Quoted rates exclude duties, taxes, government charges, inspections, demurrage, detention, storage, and other accessorial charges unless specifically included.
  7. The customer is responsible for arranging cargo insurance unless insurance is expressly included in writing in the quote.
  8. By clicking "Approve" on a quote, the customer confirms they are authorised to accept the quote and agrees to these Terms and Conditions of Cartage.
